
Cris Kooyer
Cris Kooyer is the Youth and Education Program Officer at Grand Rapids Community Foundation. In this capacity, she helps develop the programmatic elements of the Challenge Scholars Program, oversees the Good Classrooms Minigrant program and provides support and guidance to the Community Foundation’s Youth Grant Committee. She serves on the ELO Network Leadership Council, the Talent 2025 College Access Working Group, the Youth Development Network Steering Committee and previously served on the Michigan Community Foundation’s Youth Project Board.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 1999, Cris served as Executive Director of the Garfield Park Neighborhoods Association. Cris earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Science/Secondary Education at Michigan State University.
