Diana R. Sieger

Diana R. Sieger is the President of the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, a position she has held for more than 24 years.  In her role Diana is responsible for the leadership, management, strategic planning and development of this dynamic community foundation. Some professional and community activities include:

  • Council on Foundations, Board of Directors and Executive Committee
  • Council of Michigan Foundations, Past Board Chair
  • Kent County Family & Children’s Coordinating Council, Executive Committee
  • Board of the Office of Foundation Liaison, Governor’s Office
  • Numerous committees and projects around the state of Michigan and the country

Diana has two honorary degrees - Doctor of Humane Letters from Aquinas College and Grand Valley State University. Some other honors include: Pi Alpha Alpha Society’s induction into the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration; YWCA’s Tribute award in 1995, Leadership Grand Rapids Distinguished Community Trustee Award in 2001, Western Michigan University’s School of Social Work Outstanding Alumni Award in 2002, one of the “50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan” 2004, 2006, 2008 & 2010 – Grand Rapids Business Journal, Who’s Who in America, Marquis Publishers; 2009 Education Advocacy Award from the Kent Intermediate School District.

Diana’s career extends 38 years with a passion for excellence in making positive impact in every facet of community life. She earned a Masters of Social Work degree from Western Michigan University focusing on Policy, Planning and Administration.
