Hilda Gutierrez-Duran
Hilda is the Mentor Michigan College Coaching Corps AmeriCorps Member for the Youth Enrichment Scholarship Program at the Grand Rapids Community Foundation. She is responsible for providing enhanced programming to YES high school students in the area of preparation for college and post secondary training. She will also provide support for the Kent County Mentoring Collaborative and the newly formed Kent County College Access Network.
Hilda has worked at Grand Rapids Community College- The Enrollment Center assisting adults with the college level admissions process for 2 ½ years. She completed her Associates Degree at GRCC. She has also worked with Prevention Works a Kalamazoo based nonprofit providing drug prevention programs to children ages 9-13. She is currently attending Grand Valley State University to complete her BA in psychology and plans to attend graduate school for a Masters in psychology and higher education.
