Jonse Young
Jonse Young, a Grand Rapids native, joined the Grand Rapids Community Foundation in April 2005. As Donor Services Director, Jonse leads the Foundation’s customer (donor) service team and is responsible for serving as relationship manager for Community Foundation donor advisors and fund representatives. Jonse is also responsible for facilitating community tours and serves as a Co-Diversity Champion for diversity and inclusion. With 15 plus years of experience in the area of development, Jonse has specialized in fundraising, planned and major gifts and donor relations, grant writing and review.
Before joining the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, Jonse worked for Wedgwood Christian Services as Vice President for Development. She was Director of Development and Marketing at United Methodist Community House Inc., and worked as Program Assistant for the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee. Jonse received an Associate of Arts Degree from Grand Rapids Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration from Grand Valley State University. She is also a graduate of Project Blue Print and Leadership Grand Rapids – class of 2005. Past Board member and current member of AFP(Association of Fundraising Professionals) West Michigan, West Michigan Planned Giving Group, Grand Rapids Lions Club, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Jonse enjoys traveling, shopping, singing, meeting new people, and spending time with her son, Austin and husband, Allen.
