Roberta F. King, APR
Roberta F. King serves as the Vice President for PR and Marketing. She has worked her entire career in the fields of Community Relations, Public Relations and Marketing. She began her career at the American Red Cross, worked at the Grand Rapids Art Museum and at Mercy General Health Partners. She earned her Accreditation in Public Relations designation in 1999. She has a Bachelor’s in Journalism from Valparaiso University and a Master’s in Communication from Grand Valley State University.
Roberta serves with the senior leadership team in determining the strategic direction for the organization and carrying out growth and impact strategies through communication research, planning and tactics. She is responsible for media relations, social media, this website and printed publications. She also serves as a mentor to college interns who work in PR at the Foundation.
She serves on the steering committee of CommA, the professional association of community foundation communications professionals. She is also a reporter for The Rapidian, Grand Rapids' citizen journalism site. She writes about running and road racing.
