Shavon Doyle
Shavon became a member of the Community Foundation staff in January 2012 after being involved for nearly 10 years with the Foundation as a volunteer. She is the Grants Management Assistant as she works with the online grant system and aiding organizations in the grant application process.
Her association with the Foundation began in 2002 during her sophomore year of high school when she was a member of the Youth Grant Committee [YGC]. Her time with the YGC was spent collaborating with other local students as they worked on request grants that benefitted the youth in Kent County.
She attended Grand Valley State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Minor in Anthropology. While at Grand Valley, she participated with the Community Action Committee [CAC] at the Community Foundation, where she was involved with the pre-screening grants before moving them on to the Board of Trustees for a final decision.
