Economic Prosperity
Goal: Develop resources that allow the community to compete and thrive in a changing economy.
Here's what successful grant recipients will need to use for measuring their programs:
- Educational attainment – percent of Kent County residents ages 25 or older with a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Employment rate – percent of unemployed workforce currently unemployed subtracted from 100 percent.
- Growth of business establishments – percent change in the number of business establishments from one year to the next.
- Prime age workforce retention – percent of residents age 25-34 with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher who live in Kent County and remain there after five years.
- Trained and ready workforce – percent of students proficient in work skills related to critical regional jobs.
