IRA Chartiable Rollover Expired December 31, 2007
The IRA Charitable Rollover, which gave individuals 70 1/2 and older the opportunity to transfer up to $100,000 from their IRAs to charity free from income tax, expired on December 31, 2007. A bill that included an extension of the IRA Charitable Rollover, was passed by the House of Representatives in November 2007. However, this provision was dropped by the Senate in December 2007.
