Foundation Staff Named Thought Leaders in Education

Ruth Bishop, education program officer and Cris Kooyer, education and youth program officer are featured as "Thought Leaders in Education" in Business Review West Michigan.
Each year Ruth and Cris are responsible for overseeing the distribution of millions of dollars to support local education. Ruth administers the Foundation's scholarship program which provides over $500,000 in scholarships to students annually. She is also a leader in improving college access. Cris leads the Community Foundation's Youth Grant Committee and administers the Meijer Good Schools for Grand Rapids program. Together they are working to set the strategy for improving education in our community.
