Application Process for Community Foundation Scholarships
You will need the following information to complete the online application:
- List of Awards, Volunteer Activities, Employment/School Extra-Curricular Activities
- Academic Transcript from most recent semester (High School Students: must include first semester senior year)
- A response to the following statement about yourself that includes:your reasons for your choice of college, chosen course of study, career goals, plans for financing your education, and information on past activities benefitting your community.
In addition to the general application scholarships, several specific scholarships (including the Meijer Scholarship) require a separate application. To view a full listing of scholarships available, click here.

Grand Rapids Community Foundation collects and uses personal information such as name, address, phone number, last four digits of social security number, and email address when a grant applicant voluntarily provides it to us. The information is used to generate reports for advisory committees as part of the selection process. In addition, the Community Foundation keeps applicant information on file for auditing purposes and ensures that documents are properly disposed of. The Community Foundation does NOT sell, trade, or share personal or financial information with any other organization.
