What Laurie does:

Laurie is responsible for many of the Community Foundation’s community leadership activities, including housing, economic development, education and program related investing. She serves on the senior leadership team and works with nonprofit organizations and various community initiatives, and assesses the impact of our funding in the community.

What she did before:

Laurie has been active in philanthropy at the national level, serving on a number of committees for the Council on Foundations, including the Professional and Organizational Development Action Team, the Fall Conference Planning Committee, and co-chair for the ProNet Steering Committee. Laurie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Miami University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration/Nonprofit Management from Grand Valley State University.

When Laurie’s not working:

She enjoys the culture and diversity of living downtown. She loves sunsets, riding her bike, and traveling, especially to see her children and new granddaughter.
