Community Foundation Annual Report wins three awards and is featured in May 4 <i>Chronicle of Philanthropy</i>

The Grand Rapids Community Foundation’s annual report was recently awarded three separate awards of excellence. The 2004-2005 report, Acting as if the Future Matters is a bronze award winner in the Wilmer Shields Rich communication competition sponsored by the Council on Foundations. This is a national competition among community, private and corporate foundations. The report also won a silver ADDY from the West Michigan Ad Club. The report won a gold PRoof award from the Public Relations Society of America, West Michigan Chapter. The Grand Rapids Community Foundation’s annual report was featured in May 4, 2006 Chronicle of Philanthropy. In an article about award winning communication pieces from foundations, the publication showed the report’s cover and three interior pages on the center spread of the prestigious national nonprofit publication. The annual report was designed by Jane Bock of 12below design; William J. Hebert of Insightful Imagery was the photographer; Joan Huyser-Honig of Huyser-Honig Creative Services edited the copy; Custom Printers, Inc. served as printer; Roberta F. King, the Foundation’s Vice President of PR & Marketing wrote the report and coordinated the project.
