What Grant does:

As database manager, Grant monitors and evaluates the Community Foundation’s database, working collaboratively to identify solutions to maintain its integrity. He prepares reports, coordinates mailings and gathers information to measure the performance of the Development department. Grant also leads the Community Foundation’s annual appeal process and identifies and implements strategies to steward donor partners.

What he did before:

Grant's work bridges technology, design and social impact. Serving as digital director and press secretary for Equality Ohio, he spent nearly a decade advancing state-level policy through data-informed campaigns, media strategy and electoral engagement. His earlier career included roles focused on community education, racial justice and violence prevention. Before joining Grand Rapids Community Foundation, Grant deepened his expertise in data management while working for local, national and international nonprofits and NGOs.

When Grant isn’t working:

Grant enjoys hiking local trails, experimenting in the kitchen and learning new tech tools. He’s also a fan of staying active, video games and finding moments of beauty and curiosity.
