What Janean does:

Janean has a leadership role in our proactive grantmaking and our Fund for Community Good activities. She also plays a significant role in our resource allocation efforts that work toward racial, social and economic justice in alignment with our North Star.

What she did before:

Janean spent nine years at Grand Valley State University as a program coordinator and career advisor. Janean is a founder and advisory board member of BL²END (Business Leaders Linked Encouraging New Directions). She was also named one of Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty, Class of 2015. Janean received a Bachelor of Science degree in Public and Nonprofit Administration and a Master of Education degree in Adult and Higher Education from Grand Valley State University.

When Janean’s not working:

Janean spends time volunteering with her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She also enjoys building relationships with family and friends, traveling, and shopping.
