Community Foundation Announces Changes to Board of Trustees

Grand Rapids Community Foundation announces the appointment of Marilyn A. Lankfer as Chair of its 12-member Board of Trustees. Lankfer, an attorney at law with Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt & Howlett, has served on the Community Foundation’s Board since 1999.

Paul Doyle, Director of Service Strategy of Spectrum Health’s Healthier Communities program, will serve as Vice Chair of the Board. Doyle has served as a Trustee for two years.

The Community Foundation also welcomes two new Trustees to the Board. Thomas R. Hilliker, Director of Trust and Investment with Macatawa Bank and Michael Hoffman, President and CEO of Hoffman Jewelers Inc. are starting four-year terms.

Margaret Sellers Walker, outgoing Board Chair and Associate Director of the Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University and Thomas L. Stevens, Senior Vice President with LaSalle Bank retired after serving two full terms on the Board.
