The Youth Grant Committee recently recommended Orli Dujovny as a member of Grand Rapids Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees for the 2026-2027 school year. Orli first served a year as a trustee-in-training to prepare for this role. The Community Foundation is proud to have the perspective of local youth in organizational decision making.

Meet Orli

As a full voting member on the Board of Trustees and a member of the Youth Fund's Youth Grand Committee (YGC), Orli will represent the voices of local high school students.

Orli is a senior at East Grand Rapids and became a member of YGC as a freshman after hearing about the opportunity from a family member. She was interested in being part of YGC to work with students from different schools and backgrounds.

“There are many organizations that need funding and being part of a group that gets to learn how to review grant requests together and allocate funds to help community organizations is very rewarding,” Orli said.

Each year, YGC members meet and assess youth issues, develop a request for proposals process to address those needs, follow up with previous grantees, conduct interviews and site visits and award grants.

In addition to prioritizing her YGC commitments, Orli actively participates in a variety of community-focused and youth-centered activities. She is a varsity lacrosse player and serves on her school’s Leadership Youth & Development Student Advisory Board. She also volunteers at BeCafe, where she mentors baristas with differing abilities—a role she describes as her “favorite thing to do.”

We look forward to the perspectives and impact Orli will bring to this new leadership role. The representation she brings is invaluable to shaping the future of philanthropy for generations to come.
